Walk in Glory

Accept the invitation to join in this profession of gratitude to our Potter. We are like clay in our Father’s hands and that’s a great place to be. Did you get that? You are not the Potter and you must willingly surrender yourself as clay into the Potter’s skillful hands. Rest assured the Potter is always at work in our lives, molding and remolding to perfect us into the image of His Son. Feel His loving hand on your life protecting you, guiding you, loving you and shaping you. Remember you are handmade by God. You are a vessel of honor to display His eternal glory!

This is who you are.

Walk in Power

Posted by

How fitting God made us like fragile jars of clay. Yes, we are prone to crack and break in many ways, but oh how He puts us together again and then continues to use us! Can you believe He gives us the privilege of housing His priceless treasure – His glory inside of us? And His repairs don’t diminish His glory, rather they allow it to be seen all the more. For the glory of God we carry inside shines through our cracks as a testimony to all He has done. Far from shameful imperfection to be hidden from view, these are undeniable declarations of the power and depth of His love for us. You are uncommonly common! You are gloriously cracked! Be not ashamed, but shine!

This is who you are.

Walk in His Light

Posted by

This truth points us all the way back to Genesis – to creation – to the moment when God spoke Light into darkness. But then Scripture uses that magnificent act of power in the past to point us to a marvelous reality in the present – from creation to re-creation. For at one time our hearts were full of darkness – empty and without purpose – until the glory of God through the Lord Jesus Christ shone into our lives. His Light brought us hope and life and fullness and purpose. Turn away from the darkness and look into the face of Jesus. See the Light in His eyes. Knowing Him lights the way.

This is who you are.

Walk in HIs Light!

_________

Walk Away from Fear

Posted by

I dare you to try to name something that can separate you from God’s love in Christ Jesus our Lord. It’s impossible! Can tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? No! Can death or life, angels or demons? No! Can the present or the future, or any powers, or height or depth? No! God’s Word declares that NOTHING in ALL creation can EVER do that (Romans 8:35, 38, 39). His love is so high and so wide and so deep! Such amazing love can only be measured by the outstretched arms of Jesus on the Cross. He has redeemed your past, secured your future and is always with you in the present. Do not be afraid!

This is who you are.

Walk away from Fear!

_________

Walk Away from Doubt

Posted by

The enemy is supernaturally skilled at reminding you of the date, time and place of every one of your failures to sow the seeds of doubt. And as doubt takes root and grows, so does fear and insecurity. If you are hearing the voice of condemnation, it is not the voice of Jesus. Listen the voice of the Good Shepherd encouraging you, blessing you and speaking Life over you. You belong to Him. He was condemned so that you could be set free from the law of sin and death. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). It is done. Finished. Forever.

This is who you are.

Walk away from Doubt!

_________

Walk Away from Isolation

Posted by

The troubles and sorrows of this life and the battle against sin can make us feel weary, alone and helpless. The enemy will do everything he can to exploit this feeling and make you believe that Jesus has abandoned you – that you are isolated and on your own. But you cannot always trust your feelings. Stand firm in faith! Jesus promised He would never leave you and He always keeps His Word. He was forsaken so you wouldn’t have to be. Don’t banish yourself from the Presence of God. He is always near. Fear not! You are not alone and you are not forsaken.

This is who you are.

Walk away from isolation!

_________

Walk Away from Law

Posted by

Because of sin, the full weight of the law upon us was unbearable. But as the sinless Son of God, Jesus chose to bear our sinful burden so that the condemning weight upon us would fall away. Grace makes us lighter, not heavier! The enemy wants you to focus on law instead of grace and work endlessly trying to earn God’s love. Such works focus on self while grace focuses on God. If you are still carrying this burden, perhaps it’s time to set it aside by looking to the Cross. Jesus is calling you. Grace is calling you. And He gives rest to those who come to Him. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30). Grace, not law!

This is who you are.

Walk away from LAW!

_________

Walk Away from Slavery

Posted by

The old self – our sinful self – served our former master well. We were enslaved to sin, held captive by the devil to do his will and we rebelled against God over and over. But by the power of His blood, Jesus broke your chains and opened the door to your prison cell. He redeemed you as His own. You serve a new Master! Do you see any chains? Break them off in the Name of Jesus for you have been lied to. Don’t continue to be a slave to sin. In Jesus, you are free! And whom the Son sets free, is free indeed (John 8:36).

This is who you are.

Walk away from slavery!

_________

Walk Away from Amnesia

Posted by

Once strangers, now friends. But more than that, we have been adopted as children of God – sons and daughters of the King – members of God’s own family! Once aliens, now citizens – heavenly citizens – yes, royalty. God has written His Name on your heart. You are His! Shake off any spiritual amnesia. Wake up from your slumber. Open the eyes of your heart. Focus on your heavenly birth certificate, adoption papers and passport – and remember who you are. Rejoice in your new family name and new homeland!

This is who you are.

Walk away from amnesia!

_________

Walk Away from Darkness

Posted by

Darkness is one of our greatest fears and one of the most powerful weapons of the enemy. Disoriented. Lost. Paralyzed. Uncertain about what’s in your path or waiting to strike. Heavy with despair. That’s exactly where the enemy wants you – seemingly trapped in darkness. Spiritually, that is where we were…but God. The Creator of Light sent Jesus, the Light of the world, to shine into our darkness. Embrace the dawn of redeeming grace. Why remain in darkness? God is Light. Jesus is the Light of Life. His Word is Light. And this Light lives in you.

This is who you are.

Walk away from Darkness!

_________

Walk Away from Insecurity

Posted by

The enemy will relentlessly try to get you to believe God has abandoned you – that you’ve finally crossed the line and God has forsaken you. The enemy will claim that God is not good, that His promises have failed, and He doesn’t really care about you. Nothing could be further from the truth. We may forget God, but God will never forget us. Do not doubt the goodness of God, the strength of His promises or the depth of His love for you. He hears your cries! He sees your heart. You are safe in His loving arms and nothing, not even the valley of the shadow of death, can ever separate you from His love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Fear not, child of God! Your name is written in Lamb’s book of Life. And how great is His faithfulness!

This is who you are.

Walk away from Insecurity!

_________

Walk Away from Shame

Posted by

Do not allow the accusations of the enemy to become a voice of condemnation and death that makes its home in you. Satan is a murderer and a liar. He will distort God’s Word, try to steal your freedom and make every effort to corrupt your righteousness in Christ if you let him. Don’t let him talk you into wearing fig leaves. Don’t allow the enemy to drag you back into court! In Christ, you have been pronounced “not guilty.” The Judge has ruled for all eternity. The trial is over. Shame has been crucified. Look at the Cross – it’s empty. Look at the tomb – it’s empty. We have a risen Savior! And Jesus is the only one qualified to provide the commentary on your life. Listen to His voice alone.

This is who you are.

Walk away from SHAME!

_________

Walk Away from Accusation

Posted by

The enemy loves to remind you of how unworthy, broken and sinful we are. The accuser of the brethren wants us to dwell on our shame rather than rejoice in our forgiveness – to assess our lives apart from the cross of Christ. What a ridiculous proposition for those who are in Christ – that is, unless we listen to him. Make up your mind to ignore the serpent’s hiss. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot continue to be tossed here and there by waves of doubt. Jesus has chosen you and called you by name. Choose this day who you will serve. Choose Jesus! He died for all your sins – past, present and future – not just some of them. There is nothing in your life His blood cannot and has not cleansed. Look around. Where are your accusers?

This is who you are.

Walk away from ACCUSATION!

_________

Walk Away from Defeat

Posted by

Yes, there are many forces in this world set against you. The world is not your friend. If it hated Jesus, it will also hate you (John 15:18). But this is only further proof that you are His. In this world, you will have troubles and sorrow but take courage; Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33)! Remember you have been set apart by God, saved by the Son and sealed by the Spirit. You are safe in the Father’s hands because nothing is able to snatch you from His mighty grip. Do not fear where the path may lead, just walk in Jesus’ steps. You are victorious and you are invincible. Be confident of this truth.

This is who you are.

Walk away from Defeat!

_________

Walk as an Overcomer

Posted by

The enemy wants to weaken you and tear you down piece by piece. While you may have a few cracks, you are stronger than you look. Yours is a supernatural strength that comes from within. Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Ephesians 6:10). The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Abide in – stand on – act on His Word. The devil has been defeated. Do not allow him to have power over you anymore. Declare your freedom. Proclaim Christ’s victory. For now, Satan and his demonic forces roam the earth looking to extinguish the works of God and dim the light of His love – and they still seek to enslave you. But Jesus is greater! His Name is above all others! His power is unrivaled! Do not fear the devil’s roar and do not listen to the devil’s lies. You are covered by the blood of the Lamb.

This is who you are.

Walk as an overcomer!

_________

Walk as a Victor

Posted by

Don’t look down in shame as if defeated by the enemy! Feel the hand of Jesus hand under your chin, lifting it up so that your eyes meet His. See Him in all His glory seated at the right hand of the Father and ask yourself, “Why are you downcast O my soul? Put your hope in God!” (Psalm 42:5). Rejoice in the victory Jesus secured for us! He is the absolute, final and forever Victor! We are more than conquerors – we are overwhelmingly victorious through Him who loved us. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). Head high. Eyes on Jesus.

This is who you are.

Walk as a victor!

_________

Walk with Influence

Posted by

Food is bland without salt and so is life without Jesus. We are here on earth to season life with the Savior – to be an influencer for good. Jesus is the true manna from heaven – the only Bread of Life that can satisfy the hunger of our souls. O taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8)! His Presence in us gives us a unique, supernatural flavor so that our presence in the world is much like salt – and it should be unmistakably noticeable and distinctively good!  Don’t water down your impact by settling for what the world craves and become tasteless. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires (Romans 8:5). Stay salty by being filled with the Spirit. And then go be a difference-maker for Jesus’ sake.

This is who you are.

Walk with influence!

_________

Walk as a Light

Posted by

Look around. This world is full of darkness and it seems to be growing darker. But if you think darkness has won, just watch the Son-rise. There are so many who are trapped in darkness longing for a way out. Jesus is the Light of the world and He put His light is us. As His children, we are of the light and of the day. You now have eyes to see! If you shine like a light in a dark place, many will be drawn to you and to Jesus. Don’t hide His Light – turn up the wattage. Remember darkness flees at the speed of light – so shine!

This is who you are.

Walk as Christ’s Ambassador

Posted by

Wake up every morning knowing you are on divine assignment from your King. You are His ambassador sent to a foreign land to represent Him and His Kingdom. If you keep this in mind, you will not be so easily discouraged by the challenges and opposition to your mission of representation and reconciliation. You are a bridge-builder, and bridge-builders should not carry matches. Build don’t burn. You are a living letter of Christ for the world to read and He is at the center of your story. It is an honor to be chosen as His ambassador and to live for King Jesus. Exalt His Name!

This is who you are.

Walk as CHRIST’S AMBASSADOR!

_________

Walk as a Citizen of Heaven

Posted by

This world is not our home. We may live in the world, but we must not allow the world to live in us. We are citizens of a heavenly kingdom on temporary assignment in a foreign land. Jesus didn’t die to make us more comfortable on earth, He died and rose again to set us free from the chains that keep us here. Remember your citizenship and don’t be easily contented by earthly delights. Never look to the created for what only the Creator can provide. Your soul can only be truly satisfied in Him. Honor God with your life. Walk worthy of your calling.

This is who you are.

Walk as a citizen of Heaven!

_________

Walk as an Heir

Posted by

No, you are not an orphan! You are an heir of God with vast heavenly wealth. Do not live like you are fatherless or impoverished! Because of Jesus, you may draw daily on His divine promises, supernatural giftings and limitless blessings. And in time, you will see the indescribable home God has prepared for you with Him in eternity. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). A future mindset most definitely has impact in the present. Live like it.

This is who you are.

Walk as an heir!

_________

Walk in Wholeness

Posted by

Oh, the brokenness in our lives wrought by the enemy of our souls. Fragmented – wounded – discarded – dried up – trampled on – seemingly useless and hopeless. But Jesus, the Lover of our souls, specializes in binding up wounds and restoring broken vessels. No matter how shattered you are, in Him, you can be made whole and complete. Jesus restores you so you can turn your eyes away from yourself to focus on others and the building of His Kingdom. Whatever brokenness you may have, bring it to Jesus.  Whatever questions you may have, Jesus is always the answer. Your identity, your life and your restoration are found in Him.

This is who you are.

Walk with Purpose

The enemy says we are just a product of random, evolutionary mutations. What a lie! You are a unique work of God – a masterpiece of art – an incomparable poem – handmade and handwritten by your heavenly Father. Every baby’s cry is a shout of victory over the enemy. For though the devil is the author of death, our loving Father is the Author of Life – your Creator – your Sustainer – your Savior. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. As God’s living masterpiece, you have been re-created and repurposed in Jesus to step into the good works He desires and places in your path. By looking at life from God’s perspective through spiritual eyes, you will see all the divine appointments He prepared in advance for you to fulfill – all for His glory.

This is who you are.

Walk in the Spirit

There hasn’t been a physical temple in Jerusalem for almost 2,000 years, but there is a spiritual temple in you. God created a new Holy of Holies on the altar of your heart and sent His Spirit to live in you. Consecrated by the blood of Jesus, you are a holy dwelling place for God – sanctified and set apart for His holy purposes. Jesus did not leave us as orphans. Sense His Presence in you right now and give thanks. Present your body as a living and holy sacrifice. Be filled with the Spirit. He is your Counselor – your Helper – and He will empower you for God’s divine purposes and guide you into all truth.

This is who you are.

Walk in THE SPIRIT!

_________

Walk in Redemption

Posted by

The enemy tries to devalue you and minimize your worth even though you are incredibly valuable to God! You are so valuable to Him that He offered up His one and only Son to die in your place. Since no one can put a value on Jesus’ sacrifice, then no one can put a value on you. And remember this: He did it while you were still living in sin. That’s how much God loves you! He made you, and even though you sold yourself into the slavery of sin, He bought you back. You are twice His. The price has been paid. There is nothing left to earn so stop trying. His love has set you free! Live for Jesus knowing your true worth.

This is who you are.

You have been sealed – stamped – marked by God. You are His. You bear His likeness and His Name. And He sent His Spirit to live in your heart as an eternal down payment. Like divine earnest money that guarantees what He purchased, He will without any doubt fully redeem you. On that day when hope gives way to sight and faith bows to possession, this holy transaction will be visibly complete for you will see Him as He is.  Praise Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the Presence of His glory with great joy (Jude 1:24)! What blessed assurance!

There is not much in this world in which we can place our trust without ultimately being disappointed. But child of God, you should walk in supreme confidence knowing that God always finishes what He starts, and He has yet to make His first mistake. What He began in you, He will bring to completion. God does not stop and start – He is always working for His glory and our good. He will continue to sanctify you – to make you more and more like Jesus until the day you see Him face to face. You are His good work. Be confident and convinced of this very thing.

This is who you are.

Walk in Spiritual Authority

Freedom alone would have shown us more than enough of His goodness, but God also raised us up and we are now seated with Jesus in the heavenly places. From this secure position and spiritual vantage point, we have new perspective and new vision – a place of authority and privilege – of power and dominion. For a moment, see yourself lifted up into heaven and viewing life from this glorious heavenly seat next to Jesus. Now, come back down to earth, set your mind on things above and remember what you saw.

This is who you are.

Walk in SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY!

_________

Walk in Freedom

Posted by

Guilty with sin, we were justly condemned by the law, sentenced to die and awaiting the penalty of death. But Jesus stepped into our shoes, bore our sins and paid our debt. We deserved it, but He died instead. His blood is the currency of our redemption. The sinless Lamb of God became sin on our behalf. God accepted His payment and validated it with the resurrection. He did what we could never do. The Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus ushered in a new covenant and a new law of liberty called grace. And, by faith, God’s amazing grace set you free. “Sin is no longer my master.” Say it out loud! How sweet is that sound? Your chains are gone. The door is open. Why remain in a prison cell?

This is who you are.

Walk as a New Creation

Posted by

Old, well-worn clothes can feel pretty comfortable. But these old garments must be discarded, and the cross of Christ makes this possible. Having shed our old filthy garments covered in sin, we put on Jesus. Freshly clothed with the righteousness and holiness of God, we are re-created in Jesus – a new birth – a new self – new clothes. As new creations, we are living proof the old has died and the new has come. We have risen from the dead and come forth from the grave at His command. Your past is forgiven. Forget it. Look at its gravestone, walk away from it and don’t look back. You are now alive in Christ and raised to walk in newness of life.

This is who you are.

Walk in Newness of Life

The old self must die so that the new may live. The old self – the sinful self – died on the cross with Jesus and through baptism received a water burial. By God washing away our sin and cleansing us from our old life, we are born again and raised to new life in Christ. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be united in the likeness of His resurrection (Romans 6:5). You have been immersed into Jesus! Your identity is now found in Him. You have been crucified with Christ and you no longer live, but Christ lives in you (Galatians 2:20)! Arise and put Jesus on display! All praise to the glory of God. You are alive in Christ.

This is who you are.

Walk in Intimacy

Fear of punishment for the penalty of sin enslaves and isolates, but perfect love – the love of Christ – drives out fear. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17)! The Holy Spirit has adopted you into God’s own family. Hear the voice of the Spirit within you confirming this amazing Truth. Welcome to His family – His household – His flock! Behold the intimacy and access we now have through Jesus to our heavenly Father – our Abba – our Daddy. See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God (1 John 3:1)! You are His. Like a child running to sit in his father’s lap, draw near with confidence and boldness to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16)

This is who you are.

Walk in Nearness

Oh, the precious blood of the Lamb! Jesus’ sacrifice spanned the vast distance of sin’s separation, broke down the wall of enmity between us and God, and tore the veil in two! Once far from relationship and fellowship, now brought near by the power of Jesus’ blood. Once only dreaming about God’s glory from afar, now ushered into His Presence in the Holy of Holies. Declare you are His. Profess the Name of Jesus. Proclaim you are covered by His blood. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). Listen up and stay close to the Good Shepherd.

Look at the abundance of heavenly blessings God has bestowed on us! And I’m pretty sure our minds cannot comprehend how long He has actually loved us – “even before He made the world!” We should be overwhelmed by the riches of His kindness, grace and love toward us in Jesus! Your Shepherd laid down His life for you. God purchased our freedom from sin, Satan and death with the precious blood of Christ and then adopted us into His own family. You are chosen. You are holy. You are forgiven.

The enemy will boast you have been disqualified – that you have nothing to contribute and nothing to say. In fact, to open your mouth would be incredibly hypocritical for a sinner like you. But look at these truths: chosen, royal, holy, belonging. How beautiful is His love for us! Once hopelessly groping in darkness, now basking in His wonderful Light. Once separated from God by sin, now chosen as His beloved sons and daughters. Why would we remain silent? Boast in the Lord and silence the boasts of the enemy! Sing God’s praises! Declare the wonders of His love! This is how you fight your battles!

This is who you are.

Walk in Grace

Discarding our futile efforts to save ourselves like filthy rags, God saved us by His amazing grace and then called us to a holy and eternal purpose in Christ Jesus. There is no need to earn His love. In fact, even trying to earn it turns God’s precious gift of grace into a paycheck. Remember this freedom from self-righteousness. Remember this clarity of calling. Remember this reason for being. What priceless heavenly gifts from our loving Father! You have been saved by grace for His divine purpose. Look at the grace in which you now stand because of Jesus and give thanks. For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace (John 1:16).

This is who you are.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be held hostage and then finally set free? At one time, we were held captive under the dominion of dark forces, but God perfectly executed a dramatic rescue mission. Our Father redeemed us by paying the ransom with the precious blood of His only Son. He paid the price for our sins on the cross and then victoriously rose from the dead in resurrection power. Your Rescuer – Your Hero – Your Savior gave His life for you! You have been rescued and redeemed by His great love. Your sins are forgiven! As the Good Shepherd, He will always leave the ninety-nine to find the one – to find you, to restore you, to set you back on your feet and call you to follow Him. Jesus reversed the curse of sin to give us victory from the works of the devil. He nailed those works to the cross, crucified them, disarmed the enemy and put him to shame. You are no longer a lost sheep wandering around without a shepherd. Jesus found you and drew you close to Himself. The Lord is your Shepherd! Stay near to Him. Follow Him. You are safe, you are saved, and He is good!

Have faith in the promises of God! Believe! Hear Jesus’ voice – the voice of Truth speaking LIFE over you. Anchor your soul to His Word. Renew your heart and mind. Break any agreements you’ve made with the lies of the enemy. Tear down strongholds. Take thoughts captive. Know the Truth and be free! Now, let’s journey along this path with Jesus step by step and truth by truth – and remember.
