Statement of Faith
Being fully inspired by God in its entirety, the Bible is His perfect Word and is the authority for all faith and life.  It is accurate in all matters to which it speaks – spiritual, historical, and scientific.  It constitutes God’s completed and final revelation. (2 Timothy 3:16-17Matthew 5:17-18Matthew 4:42 Peter 1:19-21Isaiah 40:8)
There is one God who is personal, infinite, perfect; and He exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1Psalm 93:2Psalm 90:2Deuteronomy 6:4John 1:1-2John 1:14,Colossians 2:9John 10:30Genesis 1:2Joel 2:28-29John 14:16-17John 15:26)
The eternal Son of God became incarnate in the Lord Jesus Christ, being born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. He lived a sinless life, died physically in our place on the cross as a payment for sin, and was bodily resurrected from the grave three days later.  (Philippians 2:5-102 Corinthians 5:21Hebrews 4:15Acts 2:22-241 Corinthians 15:3-4 Acts 22:4)
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity.  He convicts men of sin, regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, and sanctifies all believers. (John 16:8-11Ephesians 1:13-142Thessalonians 2:13Romans 8:16)
God spoke all things into being as He directly created the universe from no preexisting substance. (Genesis 1-2Hebrews 11:3Psalm 33:9Jeremiah 10:12Colossians 1:15-17John 1:1-3)
Man was created in God’s image and fell into sin in Adam. He is now a sinner both by nature and by choice. Man is justly condemned to eternal judgment, can do nothing to earn salvation, and can be restored to God’s favor only through the work of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 3:10-16Ephesians 2:1-10, Romans 5)
Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Salvation is found in no other name under heaven.  He is the only ground for man’s legal standing before God which includes both forgiveness of sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (John 14:6Acts 4:12)
Salvation is given to those chosen by God and drawn to Christ by the Holy Spirit by grace through faith in Jesus Christ apart from any human merit.  Every believer is promised positional, progressive and ultimate sanctification.  Every believer’s salvation is eternally secure in Christ, being kept by the power of God. Baptism by immersion is commanded by Christ and is an outward sign of what the Holy Spirit has already performed in the heart of the believer.  Christians are called to a holy life of service and testimony in the power of the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12-13Romans 10:9-10Ephesians 2:9-10Titus 3:4-7Matthew 28:191 Peter 1:13-14)
All those who have experienced salvation are members of the Church, which is His body, Jesus Christ being the head.  The Church is the bride of Christ, formed by the baptism of the Holy Spirit of all believers into one body.  The local church is a group of believers voluntarily joined together in love to worship God, glorify Him, exercise the spiritual gifts for the equipping of the saints for the work of service to the building up of the body of Christ, preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and make disciples of all nations.  (Ephesians 1:18-231 Corinthians 12:12-13Ephesians 4:1-12Ephesians 5:22-32)
All people will experience the resurrection: believers to the state of eternal life and unbelievers to the state of eternal punishment. (John 5:28-29Revelation 20:11-15)
Jesus Christ, our Blessed Hope, will come again in power and glory.  Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (John 14:3Matthew 24: 29-31Titus 2:11-14Revelation 19:11-16Revelation 22:20)

    Meet Tim

    A Word from Tim

I still remember the night back in the fall of 1982 (about three years after I trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior) when my wife and I, as teachers in the high school ministry at Houston’s First Baptist Church, attended our “lock-in.”

During the all-night fun and games, our high school pastor asked everyone to pile their Bibles up front and symbolically burn them. We were told to imagine that it had become illegal to own a Bible or possess any form of Scripture. Now, in our first official underground meeting as Christ-followers, we faced the daunting task of accurately recreating as much of the Scriptures as we could from memory. Unfortunately, after a half hour of weeping and gnashing of teeth, out of the 31,102 verses in the Word of God, our fellowship of 300 students, staff and teachers had only managed to come up with about 30. I did my best to be a good cheerleader to divert attention from my shameful lack of a contribution.

You would think this event would be sufficient motivation to nudge me into memorizing a few verses, but God would need to use another occasion to do so. It was about a year later at a men’s fellowship at the church when an unannounced, bearded, robed, disciple-looking man took the stage and began to quote Scripture. Later, I learned that he began in Genesis and worked his way to the Revelation quoting at least one verse from each book as he traced redemption through the blood of Christ. Twenty minutes later as he concluded his message, we just sat there speechless and in awe. We were captivated by the sheer power and impact of God’s Word.

The Lord finally had my attention.

After tracking down that bearded wonder in east Texas, Bobby Joe graciously met with and motivated me to begin writing the Word of God on my heart. This was the beginning of a joyful journey I invite you to take with me one Scripture at a time. While I have memorized many Scriptures over the years for varying reasons, the Lord gave me the desire to create presentations from His Word to express His timeless truths in unique ways. In 1985, God placed on my heart “Beholding His Glory,” a Biblical portrait of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Since then, the Lord has entrusted to me a number of spoken Word presentations. Over the years, I have watched in amazement as God uses the eternal truths presented to pierce hearts and enlighten minds without any human commentary. Quoted in their entirety from memory, these presentations demonstrate the awesome power of God’s Word alone.

It is my sincere hope that you allow me the great joy and privilege of sharing one of these presentations with your church, fellowship, conference, gala, prison, ministry, school or seminary.
